Busy Days in Third Grade!

The first few weeks of school have been terrific! Our students are working hard and it didn't take them long to settle into our daily routines. We have been extremely busy with MClass and AMC Math assessments, but we've still found time to launch Reader's Workshop, Words Their Way, Math Investigations and STEM! The students also had their first testing experience today with the NC 3rd Grade Pretest. As you can see, we have been very busy!

Last week we also started working with our Master Gardeners from the NC Cooperative Extension Agency and  learned about different types of soil and what plants need to survive. This week we planted our vegetable seeds!

These young ladies took the time to pose for a quick photo during recess!

The students used our iPads for a back to school QR code activity. Of course it didn't take them long to figure out all of the answers!

The Healthy Harvest Garden Program is WONDERFUL! We are so fortunate to be able to partner with the N. C. Cooperative Extension Agency to provide this hands on learning experience for our 3rd graders!
